This story was intentionally written and drawn in the style of the Golden Age Wonder Woman. The majority of the story takes place in a dream. Hippolyta's hair is colored black rather than blond as was the case in the Golden Age.

Synopsis:
After reading a newspaper article describing comic book of the Golden Age, Wonder Woman visits a dealer known as the Dream Merchant in order to read some old Wonder Woman comics. When she begins reading, she believes she is transported into the comic book itself.

In the comic book story, Wonder Woman battles the Brain Pirate, a villain from Dimension-X. The Brain Pirate steals the brains of Steve Trevor and the Holliday Girls, making their bodies into mindless automatons. Wonder Woman is forced to save her friends from various disasters and eventually returns their brains to their bodies.

After successfully rescuing her friends and defeating the Brain Pirate, Wonder Woman awakens from a dream in the Dream Merchant's store. She wonders whether the experience was a dream or whether she was hypnotized.
