This story takes place from November 23, 1989 to January 1, 1990.

Synopsis:
The Unknown Soldier returns to work for Wintley Roth who has been appointed as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. However, he is also plotting Roth's downfall. When he drops out of sight, Roth expects to be targeted. The Unknown Soldier replaces Roth at an award ceremony. Barry is tipped off to the disguise and orders security to move in. However, they end up shooting the real Roth. With his nemesis dead, the Unknown Soldier escapes with a shred of his honor intact.
