Synopsis:
Travis Morgan, Shakira, and Mariah arrive too late to prevent the abduction of sorcerer V'zann Hagar-Zinn. However they find a torn piece of cloak and a magic scroll that was left behind. Using the spell the adventurers are teleported into another dimension where the wizard is imperiled by a demon. Morgan and his friends are able to rescue him and reach a portal back to Skartaris. V'zann must stay behind and sacrifice himself to close the portal and prevent the demons from coming through. Before his demise, the wizard gives Morgan a magic ring, then sends the trio through the portal.

Meanwhile in Skartaris, Darkseid's minion Desaad has disguised himself as Travis Morgan and led a peasant army into a trap set by the tyrant Baron Kraag. He then teams up with a Vashek assassin to further destroy the legend of the Warlord.

Elsewhere, Tara learns that the aging plague has spread and will soon threaten Shamballah. On the surface world Douglas Andrews is tortured by CIA agent Redmond and reveals the existance of Skartaris.
