Synopsis:
Thunder and Lightning are working as security for S.T.A.R. Labs when the Atomic Skull begins destroying the facility. They rescue several scientists, then they occupy the Skull until Dr. Alysia Damalis can retake control of him. Damalis, a psych specialist, has been trying to control the Skull by overlaying a new personality, then merging it with his original persona.

Frances Kane has been working as her assistant. After the fight is over, Frances joins Thunder and Lightning for lunch. She explains that Damalis is helping her cope with her powers. Damalis then offers to help Thunder and Lightning.

Lightning agrees to undergo therapy, but Thunder refuses. During the treatment, Damalis places Lightning under hypnosis. Thunder can sense a problem and stops the experiment. They then report Damalis to security. Worried that her operations will be exposed, Damalis uses a code word to turn Frances Kane into an assassin.
