Synopsis:
Aquaman joins members of the Atlantean resistance movement which is striking back against their captors. However, Aquaman believes that their strategy is flawed and is not working against their true oppressors, who remain unseen. When the resistance plants a bomb, Aquaman futilely tries to stop it because it is targeting a transport ship carrying other Atlanteans. After the tragic explosion, Aquaman takes command of the resistance and fills the others in on his plan to eliminate the invaders, a race of sentient jellyfish.
Meanwhile, Mera, who has learned of Aquaman's return, escapes from the asylum in which she had been imprisoned.
