Synopsis:
Superboy attends a carnival with Lana Lang. They visit the fortune teller Madame Zoria who makes several dire predictions concerning Superboy. While skeptical, Superboy begins believing in the predictions when several of them come true. The final prediction is that Superboy will be unable to stop the death of Clark Kent.

When Clark goes to the bank with his father the following day, a bank robber shoots Clark. He appears to be dead. Even his father believes it. At the funeral Superboy appears to grieve. Madame Zoria is also in attendance. Superboy then unmasks the fortune teller as Lex Luthor. He explains that Clark is still alive and was replaced by a life-like humanoid decoy. Luthor had staged the predictions to demoralize Superboy, but his plan is foiled.
