Synopsis:
Animal Man tracks B'Wana Beast to the San Diego Zoo. They fight each other until B'Wana Beast collapses. He was exposed to the anthrax virus that was given to Djuba. Buddy uses his own powers to absorb those of B'Wana Beast. He then uses the combined powers to strengthen the other man's immune system to defeat the virus. Feeling that B'Wana Beast was not the true villain, he lets him go.
Buddy returns to S.T.A.R. Labs where Myers is angry about how he handled the situation. Buddy punches him, then leaves. Later B'Wana Beast returns to the lab with Djuba's dead body. He uses his powers to fuse Djuba and Myers together. Trapped in the ape body, Myers is unable to communicate his situation to the other scientists who begin using him in harsh lab experiments.
