Synopsis:
A conqueror from Rann’s past has been awoken from suspended animation during a recent invasion. He plans to conquer current day Rann using a new weapon he has developed. To execute his plan, he transplants Alanna’s memories into an Earth woman to make Adam Strange believe that his love has come to Earth. With Alanna on Earth, Adam will not take the Zeta-Beam to Rann and serve as the planet’s champion.

With his new weapon the conqueror, Alva Xar, takes control of Rann easily. The weapon functions with Zeta-energy and is transported back to Earth where a cloud being emerges. The being freezes the residents of Earth except Adam, who is immune due to the Zeta-radiation in his body. Adam uses the weapon to trap the cloud being and free Earth’s people. When the freezing effect wears off though, Alanna’s doppleganger regains her original memory. Adam then returns to Rann to confront Alva Xar.

Adam and Alva Xar now both possess the super-weapons. They achieve a stalemate, but Alva can read Adam’s mind. Adam releases the cloud being which freezes everyone on Rann including Alva. Then Adam takes both weapons and causes them to destroy one another. Alva is then imprisoned by the Ranagarans.
