Synopsis:
An archaeological expedition unearths a strange monster with characteristics of many species. Professor Giles believes it is the missing link, so he sends Rip Hunter back in time to investigate. Rip finds the creatures in the past under the control of alien scientists. The aliens capture Rip and try to transfer his mind to one of the creatures. Rip jams the device, then takes control of the creatures. The aliens and creatures are buried underground, then Rip returns to the present. He explains to the Professor that the creatures were not the missing link, just alien hybrids.
