Comments:
This is the first official "DC" appearance of Plastic Man. Prior to this story Robby Reed used his H Dial to become Plastic Man in the first story of House of Mystery #160.

As revealed in Plastic Man #7, the Plastic Man in this story is the son of the original Plastic Man. His adventures take place on Earth-1 as evidenced by the appearance of Niles Caulder, the Chief, in Plastic Man #8.

The Plastic Man character published by Quality was shown in All-Star Squadron to have originated on Earth-2, then he traveled to Earth-X in All-Star Squadron #50. However, since the Nazis won World War II on Earth-X, Plastic Man's post-war adventures published by Quality must have taken place somewhere other than Earth-X.

Justice League of America #107 depicts heroes that died on Earth-X according to Uncle Sam. It is possible that Sam merely presumed Plastic Man was dead, but he could have traveled to another Earth where the remainder of his post-war Quality adventures took place. Since his son is shown to be active on Earth-1, the original Plastic Man must have gone there following his departure from Earth-X.

Another Plastic Man, who was born on Earth-1, does exist.

Synopsis:
Dr. Dome, bitter enemy of Plastic Man, contacts Professor X. The professor claims to have invented several new weapons to use against Plas. Professor X finds his foe at the pet store of Gordy Trueblood. Plastic Man overcomes Professor X's first weapon, a tank which can fire a sticky fluid, but the professor escapes.

Plastic Man then meets up with Micheline DeLute III, aka Mike, his rich girl friend. Mike's mother hates Plastic Man as does their butler, Fawnish. The butler conspires with Dr. Dome and Professor X for another attack.

When the second attack fails, Dr. Dome's daughter Lynx seduces Plastic Man, then dumps him off a pier. Plas escapes and defeats Professor X's third attack. The professor is apprehended, but his other foes remain at large.
