Synopsis:
Clark and Lois attend a fireworks show outside of Smallville. An alien ship lands nearby. Superman approaches the ship and is attacked. He confronts the two energy beings inside who are hunting Psi-Phon and Dreadnaught. When the alien duo appear, Superman defeats them easily. Psi-Phon runs to the ship to surrender. An alien woman named Petlin emerges and informs Superman that she is Dreadnaught's mate. The alien pair are just troublemakers. Superman sends them on their way. He is unaware that the ship lands in Wyoming and reports to the military.

Meanwhile in Metropolis, Jerry White makes a payment to Intergang. The money is transformed by Angelica Blaze, causing the gang members to believe they were double-crossed. Jerry and Jimmy Olsen are then shot.
