Synopsis:
After a series of disturbing dreams, Constantine awakens in a hospital bed where the demon Nergal is waiting. The demon wants John to help him fight the Resurrection Crusaders who have killed John's friend Ray Monde and kidnapped Zed. When John refuses, the demon threatens to begin killing babies. John begrudgingly agrees to the demon's offer, but lays out terms which include healing his shattered body. To do so, the demon gives John a transfusion using its own blood. John, now with demon blood coursing through his body, rises from the bed and leaves the hospital.
