Synopsis:
Serifan encounters a cloak creature known as the Dark. He explains to the being that the Forever People came to this place years ago. The place being a world beyond a barrier that separates the universe from infinity. They came to be there when they summmoned the Infinity Man to battle Darkseid's Pursuer Devilance. Something went wrong. Devilance and Infinity Man blew up. As a result, the Forever People were unable to return.
They explored the new world and discovered a tribe of primitive humans. Vykin came up with the idea to advance the natural evolution of the people using the Mother Box. The experiment succeeded, but not before Mother Box exploded, killing Vykin.
Mark Moonrider married one of the natives Mina and now has two children. He serves as the mayor of the new community which resembles Earth. Dreamer and Big Bear also live there as a married couple. Dreamer is pregnant with his child. However, Serifan has long since separated from the others. He lives in the wild in a drug-induced haze.
Upon completing his tale, Serifan is possessed by the Dark. He then attacks Forevertown and his former friends during a day of celebration. The town and all the people are enveloped in darkness, including the Forever People.
In the skies above, near the barrier, a female being is born from nothingness and quickly grows to maturity.
