Doctor Alchemy returns and turns a bank teller into solid gold. The Flash checks the jail and discovers a pile of salt instead of Alvin Desmond. With the help of Seamus, the Flash tracks down Alchemy. Albert Desmond then arrives wearing the costume of Mr. Element. The Flash deduces that Alvin Desmond was created by the philosopher's stone. Armed with this knowledge Albert defeats Alvin, then he restores the bank teller to life.
