History:
Raised to be as tough as the land by his farmer father, yet shown the more cultured side of life by his educated mother, Bat Lash is a classic study in dichotomy.

When his parents were swindled out of their farm, Bat sought justice as he had been taught, but found only frustration.

Forced to kill a crooked deputy in self-defense, Bat was branded a murderer, and fled to the shack where his family now lived, only to find it in flames, and to find that his parents and those of the woman Bat loved had been murdered.

Swearing vengeance, Bat left his sister and his girlfriend, Betsy, at a convent for protection, then took to the road in pursuit of his parents' killer, only to be hounded by the law for the deputy's death.

Ultimately finding his parents' murderer, yet losing all those he loved in the process, Bat Lash continued to roam the American Southwest, looking for peace, but inevitably finding only trouble.
