History:
When June Moone was brought by her boyfriend Alan Dell to a surprise party at the decaying old building known as Terror Castle, she found herself in the middle of an outpouring of supernatural forces. Seeking to escape the chaos, June accidentally slipped through a secret panel in the wall into a vast ancient chamber hidden within the castle. Here she encountered a grotesque creature called Dzamor, who explained that destiny had brought June Moone to that chamber to accept a special destiny of her own. Speaking the words "the Enchantress," June found herself transformed into a being possessed of extraordinary mystical power. As the Enchantress, June defeated the evil forces terrorizing the castle and began a career as a supernatural defender of Mankind.

For several years the Enchantress battled the forces of evil, until she was summoned once more before Dzamor, who told her that a certain astral alignment of the moon and a star was about to occur that the Enchantress could tap to gain omnipotent mystical power. With this new power she would be able to wipe out all evil on Earth. Unfortunately, this same procedure would also destroy the scientific laws by which the universe was governed.

Prevented from gaining this awesome power by Supergirl, who moved the moon from its orbit to destroy the astral alignment, the Enchantress became frustrated and bitter and ultimately decided to turn her mystic powers against a world that did not seem to appreciate her. Whether these irrational actions were the result of some undiagnosed mental illness or the result of Supergirl's disruption of the astral alignment has not yet been determined.

Determined to rule the world if she could not defend it, the Enchantress joined forces with several other mystical beings and professional criminals to form a league of forgotten villains. Though her planes were thwarted by Superman and a newly formed organization of equally forgotten heroes, the Enchantress herself was able to elude capture and remains at large as of this writing, continuing to plot against the world, which seems to spurn her.

Powers:
An average athlete and hand-to-hand combatant, the Enchantress prefers to rely on her vast array of mystical powers, which include the power of flight, the ability to pass unharmed through walls and other solid objects, the power to transform and manipulate inanimate objects, and the ability to change her own appearance (which she used to great advantage as leader of the Forgotten Villains).

To transform herself from the blond-haired, blue-eyed June Moone to the raven-haired, green-eyed Enchantress, June merely has to focus her energies and speak the words "the Enchantress" and she would be reborn in a blinding flash of seething mystical energy. Whether June Moone continues to use this power of transformation or now remains merely as the Enchantress is currently unknown.
