History:
Originally a student of the great Japanese martial arts teacher called the O-Sensei, Ben Turner befriended young thief-turned-student Richard Dragon, and the two grew to manhood together under the O-Sensei's tutelage. When the two now-grown men were finally ready to leave the O-Sensei's temple to return to the outside world, they were asked to join G.O.O.D., a somewhat clandestine organization run by the enigmatic Barney Ling.

Some months after joining G.O.O.D., Ben found himself the target of several murder attempts, because he had unknowingly inherited 1,000 acres of prime timber land. Becoming embroiled in a battle over the property, which had already caused the death of his sister, Ben found himself stalked by hired killers, and finally by members of the League of Assassins.

Because of Ben's romantic involvement with one Janey Lewis, her father, Luke, ordered Ben killed before Ben could discover Luke's criminal activities. These efforts ultimately led to Janey's death, and the trail of vengeance finally led Ben and Richard into a confrontation with Professor Ojo, who brainwashed the emotionally torn Ben to forgetting his past and becoming merely a human fighting machine called the Bronze Tiger.

Ironically, the Bronze Tiger soon found himself in the employ of the Sensei, leader of the League of Assassins. While working for the Sensei, the Bronze Tiger was involved in the death of circus owner Kathy Kane, who once had been known as Batwoman.

Severing his ties with the League as a result of Kathy's death, the Bronze Tiger returned to the employ of Barney Ling where he soon found himself confronting his old friend Richard Dragon. In the course of his battle with Dragon, Ben learned that all the threats against his life months before had been ordered by Barney Ling to trick Ben and Richard into eliminating Ling's enemies. During this battle, Ben accidentally pushed Ling out a window, killing him.

With Richard Dragon's help, Ben Turned is now undergoing extensive psychotherapy to restore his buried memories.

Powers:
Trained from childhood by the legendary O-Sensei, Ben Turner is one of the world's greatest living martial artists, equaled only by his partner, Richard Dragon. In a one-on-one battle, few men can stand against him, although the Batman has survived two such encounters.

His training also included spiritual enlightenment, which instilled in him an aversion to killing. This training was so deeply ingrained that even Professor Ojo's brainwashing could not override it fully.
