Comments:
This story takes place in 1772.

Synopsis:
Two criminals, Rankin and Filcher, hide in the town of Bayport. When they discover that the town is built over a large silver deposit, they plan to destroy the town and mine the silver for themselves. The crooks incite the local indians to attack and burn down the town. However, one of the townspeople, Abner Lowell, convinces people to stay and rebuild.

Tomahawk makes peace with the indians, offering them proof that they were setup by criminals. The indians then assist in rebuilding the town they destroyed. Rankin and Filcher try to burn the town again, but the combined efforts of Lowell, Tomahawk, and the indians saves the town. Tomahawk then apprehends the crooks and sends them to prison.
