Synopsis:
Rex is recruited by Blackburn, a stage magician, to find the truth behind a haunted town. Blackburn believes the ghosts are projected images, but Rex picks up a scent from them, proving they are real. Rex and Blackburn track the ghosts to the home of Captain Will Devers, who was believed lost at sea with his crew. Rex helps capture Devers who staged the hoax in order to scare off the town, so that he could use it as a base for smuggling operations.
