Synopsis:
The five JLA members who fought the Unimaginable alongside Metamorpho suddenly double in size, the first symptom of a plague they have contracted from micro-organisms within the intangible villain. Returning to the Unimaginable's world, they battle more of his creature-warriors, and meet Dr. Bendorion, an alien physician who comes to Earth to help cure them.

When super-powered criminals run riot, the unaffected members must battle them, while their comrades are in quarantine. They confuse the crooks by switching powers - Hawkman and Green Arrow exchange weapons, Aquaman uses Wonder Woman's lasso, and the Amazon hurls the Martian Manhunter, who uses his shape-changing ability to resemble a boomerang. The plague-stricken heroes are forced into action when the Aurora Borealis is transformed into a menace, but Batman suspects the agency behind all these unexplained events, and sends Flash back to the Secret Sanctuary to investigate.

They discover that Dr. Bendorion is actually the Unimaginable, scheming to blackmail the JLA into accepting him as a member. His supposed cure is actually a device that will doom all life on Earth unless the heroes agree to admit him. However, Flash has secretly disconnected his device, and the League overwhelms him.

The true cure for the plague turns out to be absolute rest, and the stricken members are soon back to normal size.
