Synopsis:
Travis Morgan is attacked by assassins in the palace of Shamballah. He fights them off, but one of them escapes. He follows the killer back to a castle surrounded by a lake. Morgan crosses the lake and kills a kraken that lives in the waters. When he reaches the stronghold, he overhears them assassins claiming that they were sent by the King of Kiro, Machiste.
In Kiro, Machiste has become involved romantically with Tara. Another group of assassins of the Kraken Pentacle attack him claiming to be sent by Travis Morgan. Machiste defeats them, then plans to go after Morgan. Tara then enters the dungeons and removes her disguise. The real Tara is held a prisoner, and the phony is Y'smalla.
Elsewhere Power Girl continues the search for her heritage. She discovers a monument to her grandfather Arion. Inside she finds a computer. While trying to operate it, a demon takes control of her mind and forces her to release it from its gemstone prison. Kara then bows down before the demon as a servant.
