Comments:
This story which is entirely told in flashback is continued from the second story of Arak/Son of Thunder #28 and continues in the second story of Arak, Son of Thunder #30.

Synopsis:
Valda has been captured by a group of monks and taken to the castle of Baledor. When a fiery combat is seen in the sky above the fortress, the monks are distracted which gives the Iron Maiden time to escape. She races into the castle where she sees Malagigi and Baledor locked in mystic combat. Her arrival interrupts the battle and allows Baledor to gain the upper hand. The evil sorcerer dispatches an enchanted suit of armor to attack Valda. Rather than allow Valda to die, Malagigi surrenders in exchange for a promise that Baledor will spare the warrior maiden's life.
