Synopsis:
Haunted by bells his entire life Ed Peale decides to turn to crime and make the bells help him. Calling himself the Gong, Peale soon stages several robberies which bring him to the attention of Batman. The Caped Crusader is unable to stop the Gong during their first meeting, but a clue leads him to the town of Hicksburg.
In Hicksburg, the Gong tries to steal a giant bell loaded with gold. Batman interrupts the robbery and finds the stolen bell. The Gong tries to escape and is cornered in an alley. Batman uses the bell sounds in a nearby shooting gallery to drive the Gong into surrender.
