Synopsis:
Sandman learns about a famous scientist, Ivan Borloff, who has entered the country illegally. He also learns that the investigating policemen have vanished. He begins his own investigation, finding that Borloff has invented a ray which destroys metal.

Borloff unleashes the ray against a city from a flying machine. Sandman contacts Dian Belmont, then pursues the scientist. Dian convinces an army pilot to coat his plane with sand, rendering it immune to Borloff’s ray. With Dian’s help, Sandman is able to stop Borloff from causing further damage.
