Synopsis:
Actress Eve Wilcox enters the office of Darwin Jones, the staff chief for the Department of Scientific Investigation. Eve claims to be immortal and can prove it. First she shoots herself with a gun, then she jumps from the window on the street, floors below. Despite both of the surely fatal events, Eve survives intact. She explains to Jones that after bathing in a mountain pool in Mexico, she found herself impervious to harm. The accidents and intentional events which should have caused her death, did not. Instead they only turned her hair white.
Jones convinces Eve to take him back to Mexico to find the pool. Most of the locals will not speak of it, but one guide named Pablo leads them there. Pablo also claims to be immortal and assumes that Jones wants the same. All Jones is really after is a sample from the pool. Eve tries to obtain it for him, but she is overcome by volcanic gas. Jones rescues her, but Pablo is buried when lava from the nearly volcano covers the pool.
Jones and Eve return to America. Eve's immortality has been lost. Jones has the water sample analyzed. It contains a radioactive element which was responsible for making the body's cells immune to destruction.
