Chris KL-99 is said to operate in the 21st Century. His name, though later hyphenated is rendered Chris KL99 in this story. He is named after explorer Christopher Columbus.

Synopsis:
Space explorer Chris KL99 has earned fame for discovering many new worlds. However, not everyone is happy about the discoveries. Jan Varden, a jealous criminal, wants to exploit the new worlds for profit. He tricks Chris into visiting Nebula World, a planet containing vast supplies of radium. Varden and his crew follow Chris, then begin stealing the radium. A race of radioactive men is outraged, but they are not able to stop the invaders. Chris and his crew help the radioactive natives stop the radium thieves. Chris arrests them and marks the world as off-limits to future travelers.
