Synopsis:
Clark Kent is assigned to write a story about the children of the Midvale Orphanage. Linda Lee who is secretly Supergirl gives Clark a story she has written about the future. Clark takes the story home and reads it. He then falls asleep and begins dreaming.
In his dream he has reached old age and lost his powers. Supergirl has grown into Superwoman and replaced him. Perry has died being replaced as Planet editor by Jimmy Olsen. Lana has married a wealthy man and Luthor has discovered the cure for cancer. With his former friends gone Superman is lonely.
He is then arrested because he was found with some Kryptonite which he was trying to dispose of. Lois Lane bails him out of jail where his cellmate is Bizarro. Lois has become an old maid since she waited so long for him. He decides to spend the rest of his days with Lois just before he awakens from his dream. The next day at work, he is extra nice to Lois.
