Maddox's Revenge:Chapter II
This story is continued from Warlord #129 and continues in the first story of Warlord #131.
Synopsis:
Morgan remains haunted by dreams of Tara. Despite his grief, he continues on his journey to the island of Xur-Chemosh with Aoife. When they reach the coast, Aoife unveils a magic carpet that will carry them across the water to the island. While seeking the island, the duo is caught in a powerful thunderstorm. They are thrown off the carpet and snagged by the roaring current of the water below.
On the island, Danny Maddox has used the technology found in the alien ship to bring instant prosperity to the villagers. He has constructed a large city and made the soil fertile again. The villagers begin treating him as a god, but the priests are angered. When they attack he kills them. Mariah worries about his brutal nature, but she is relieved that he is not exploiting the villagers.
Morgan washes up on the shore of the island. He lost track of Aoife in the water and is unaware of her fate. He enters the city and while exploring meets Mariah. Their reunion is interrupted by Maddox who has his own history with Travis Morgan.
