This story crosses over with Suicide Squad #9 and Detective Comics #582.

Synopsis:
The Spectre goes to Louisiana in search of the Manhunters after one of them attacked Madame Xanadu. He finds them in the swamps. Thinking he will be able to control the androids by entering their bodies, the Spectre merges with a Manhunter and is lost within the robot's artificial mind.

The Spectre is eventually able to stabilize his situation and move from body to body within the Manhunters' collective conscience. When the Spectre leaves each body, the Manhunters are disabled. The Spectre eventually finds his way to the center of the hive mind and destroys it. This causes the Manhunters to collapse. However, the Spectre is still imprisoned in the artificial mind construct until an explosion created by Karin Grace of the Suicide Squad destroys the Manhunter temple. The Spectre then reenters the physical world.
