Synopsis:
Dawn tells Hank Hall the story of how she became Dove. During the time of the red skies, terrorists took her mother, a diplomatic courier, hostage. A mysterious voice gave Dawn her power, turning her into Dove. She then defeated the terrorists. Later she learned that the original Dove had died, so she sought out Hawk to become his new partner.

Later, one of Kestrel's minions delivers a message used to lure Hawk and Dove into the chaos dimension. In this realm, Hawk becomes a giant monstrous being full of rage while Dove is disoriented. Kestrel, who is powered by the Lords of Chaos, wants Hawk to join their cause. However, when he says they can be blood brothers, Hawk snaps out of his rage. The Lords of Chaos punish Kestrel by setting him afire. Hawk and Dove barely escape the chaos dimension with their lives.

Hawk is now accepting of Dove as his partner. On a visit to the Hall house, Dawn sees the watch Don was wearing when he died. Based on the time, Dawn realizes that she became Dove eleven minutes before Don's death. She suspects that his powers were taken away by the Lords of Order and given to her.
