Synopsis:
A call from Jimmy's signal watch brings Superman to the town of Millersburg where a tanker truck carrying corrosive toxic waste has sprung a leak and caught fire. Superman puts out the fire and plugs the leak, then falls over. Jimmy comes to his aid only to discover that the Man of Steel is extremely weak. Superman asks Jimmy to move him to the caves outside of town. Jimmy steals a forklift and uses it to move his friend.

When they reach the caves Jimmy carries Superman inside. The Man of Steel explains that a wave of Kryptonite radiation originating from his planet's destruction has traveled through space and is now passing the Earth. He hopes that the lead ore in the cavern walls will shield him from the deadly radiation. In his weakened condition, Superman sends Jimmy to get help preferably from the Justice League.
